Beautiful Book

This is a very attractive little book. It is a simple story of a boy and

his Father who love the sea but one day the Father is lost whilst out

The illustrations in this book are wonderful. You get a real

idea of the sea in the colours and sense of movement. The sea seems to

be a different group of colours on each page showing its different forms

- one day calm & another rough.

The text is written in a poetry

form with fantastic use of words. There is repitition, use of

onomatopoeia and spacing on the page to reflect the words. This would be

an ideal book for showing children how many different ways there are to

write poems and what you can use to strengthen the text.

I loved

this little book. It would make an ideal gift as it is the sort of book

that you would want to read & come back to often. It is the sort of

book that would stay with you into adulthood.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
